In the case of LeClairRyan vs. traditional law firms, the strategy was twofold: Differentiate and elevate through a rigorous branding process, and equip the client to handle long-term marketing needs on its own.
In affiliation with brand strategy consulting firm UPTONGROUP, we gained valuable insights and firsthand knowledge of the firm by establishing an office inside LeClairRyan's headquarters. Working side by side with the firm’s leadership, we defined a brand position that accurately reflected the company. To reflect and promote the new brand position, we developed a new logo and brand standards, promoted the new look within the firm with internal communications, coordinated new signage and marketing materials for 13 offices, provided promotional items via an online store selling branded merchandise for business development purposes, handled public relations and revamped their website.
While planning for the firm’s future, UPTONGROUP/Fultz helped LeClairRyan build its own, full-service marketing department from scratch – installing systems, software and business processes. We even recruited and hired marketing personnel to assist attorneys with their daily marketing needs.
