In this business, where what you know and who you know are equally important, it’s very nice to know Barbara Fultz.
Few professionals in the Southeast share Barbara’s depth of experience and her accessibility to such a large network of talent. During her 17-year tenure at Arnold Finnegan Martin (formerly Finnegan & Agee) – a nationally recognized advertising agency in Richmond, Virginia – Barbara earned a reputation as a skilled communicator and innovative production manager. Her ability to put the right people on the right projects, combined with her penchant for managing the fine details of advertising and marketing projects, endeared her to clients and colleagues alike.
In 1994, Barbara founded Fultz to serve an unmet need in the marketplace: providing tailored marketing and advertising services on an as-needed basis to both businesses and advertising agencies. As president of the firm, Barbara takes a hands-on role in directing her staff to execute all aspects of strategic development and creative implementation. She actively coordinates copywriters, art directors, printers and other outside vendors to supplement her staff, ensuring quality and control of costs in the process.
There are few – if any – marketing and advertising projects with which Barbara has no experience. She has developed every conceivable type of marketing material, from full-fledged advertising campaigns to point-of-purchase signage, to interactive web sites and corporate videos. She has formulated procedures and managed administration of creative, production and traffic departments. And she has organized and built corporate communications departments, as well as key agency departments.
As part of her commitment to give back to the community, Barbara has served on the Adjunct Faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Fashion Art and Advertising, on the board of the Advertising Club of Richmond, and as past President of Art180, a cultural program for at-risk youth. She also donates her time and services to a variety of pro bono causes. In 1998, Barbara's professional peers recognized her achievements by naming her the Advertising Club of Richmond’s Ad Person of the Year.
